Welcome to Werrington Primary School

Together we will inspire confident learners who will thrive in a changing world.

Together We Succeed

Our vision is to instil in pupils a passionate commitment to learning,
preparing them to be happy, productive, responsible, ethical,
creative and compassionate members of society.

We have a clear vision of what learning is

Learning is a lifelong process of active engagement with experience, involving the
development or deepening of knowledge, skills, understanding, values, ideas and feelings,
in order to make sense of the world and ones place in it.

A Message from the Headteacher

On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents/carers and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website at Werrington Primary School.

Werrington prides itself on providing a happy, safe, secure and supportive learning environment. At the centre of our ethos is the belief that our children should enjoy their school experience while achieving their full potential.

We believe this is achieved through a close and trusting relationship between home and school, both working together to promote the vision, aims and ethos of the school.

We seek to operate an “open door” policy, which means that we welcome children and adults alike to share concerns and worries. Class teachers and senior leaders will always be happy to arrange an appointment to discuss any questions and will do everything we can to help.

Confidence in a school comes from knowing and understanding what is happening within it. We hope that this website will be another gateway to providing you with information and a helpful glimpse of the school.

We welcome all parents and carers as partners. Together, we aim to promote really high standards of work and behaviour. We also welcome your involvement in all areas of school life.

This website conveys a flavour of life at Werrington but we encourage you to come and visit us and talk to our pupils and staff about their school.

I look forward to meeting you.

Caroline Prince

How fantastic do our Egyptian Usekhs look?! The Year 3 children have created their own templates, used appliqué, cross stitch and embellishments to create their own Collars. They were very proud to wear them for a photo, and rightly so!

#WerringtonYear1 loved coming to school with crazy hair for @BrainTumourOrg. We also had a secret storyteller visit from George’s mum who read the story ‘The Mega Magic Hair Swap’.

#werringtonreception had the best time this week letting our imaginations run wild with sticks and boxes. We read the stories ‘it is not a stick’ and ‘it is not a box’ by Antoinette Portis and we used our imaginations to think of different uses for sticks and boxes. #WerringtonDT
