Clubs & Activities

We provide a wide variety for extracurricular clubs at Werrington Primary School which are led by members of staff. A selection of clubs will be open to a number of year groups; others will be for particular year groups at particular times. A variety of our clubs run on a rotational basis throughout the year, as the year progresses please keep your eye out for further information.

We also offer a wide variety of additional sporting activities that are organised and run by outside providers and there is a charge for each session or half term. All monies for these sessions must be given to the coaches at the sessions and not be sent into the school office. Additional information is distributed by the Coaches to pupils in the appropriate year groups at the beginning of each half term. Please contact the school office if you require more information.

We expect pupils who attend any club to be well behaved and to adhere to any safety advice or club rules. We also ask that parents collect their children promptly at the end of each after school club and that parents do not park their cars in our disabled parking spaces when collecting pupils unless they have a valid blue badge.

KS2 Choir

KS2 Choir runs on a Friday after school. Mrs Shone organises this club. It is open to pupils in Key Stage 2. The Choir learn a variety of songs and have the opportunity to perform these during assemblies and concerts. They also perform in the wider community for example at the Werrington Christmas Lights switch on and the Community Carol Service at Moorside High School. This year, for the third time, they took part in the Young Voices concert in Birmingham in January 2023.
