The Super Yummy Kitchen
Chartwells (our caterers) have been working on a project – The Super Yummy Kitchen, which they hope you will join in with and enjoy. They have created cook along YouTube videos aimed at school children to help entertain by enabling them to create yummy, healthy snacks made from store cupboard ingredients. Nutritional messages will feature throughout the videos and there will be a curriculum activity and a health and wellbeing challenge set.

Most of the activities children can do independently, but where adult support is needed it is made clear in the instructions. New content is added each week so be sure to regularly check out their page for new resources. Dance Mat Typing by BBC Bitesize
A fun way to learn touch typing. There are four levels to play, each divided into three stages. You start by learning the home row keys. Each stage builds on previous lessons, introducing new letters as you progress. You’ll soon be touch typing like an expert! At the end of each level you can test your typing speed and get a fun reward.

After exploring turtles, manta rays, dolphins, seagrass and reefs with Laamu’s 10 marine biologists, children are encouraged to get creative at home upcycling, crafting, drawing and storytelling about what they’ve learned. “Homework” can even be sent in to be marked.
